How do I get to Dorney Lake? 

Catch a train from London Paddington to Taplow station, part of the new Elizabeth Line. It’s then a 5-10 minute taxi or Uber from the station to us.

If you’re driving, we’re just off the M4 J7. Cycling or walking? Just remember that you can't access the venue directly from the Thames Path, only via our Main Entrance off Court Lane, Dorney. 

 

 


 

 

Is there parking available on site?

Attending a meeting, conference, or celebration event with us? Parking is free to all of our hospitality clients with ample spaces in our Customer Car Park next to The Boathouse.

Attending a Sports Event?  Contact the relevant event organiser for specific arrangements. 

Coming for a walk around our grounds? Find opening times and pay & display parking info here

 

 


 

 

How do I get into Dorney Lake?

Your Events Coordinator will provide you with a Welcome Pack containing directions to and around the venue. Sometimes you may need a barrier code, this will be in there too. 

Attending a Sports Event?  Contact the relevant event organiser for specific arrangements. 

 Just remember that you can't access the venue directly from the Thames Path, only via our Main Entrance off Court Lane, Dorney. 

 

 


 

 

Is there Disabled Parking at Dorney Lake?

Yes. We have Disabled parking to the rear of the Boathouse. If you need to, speak to your Event Coordinator or contact our Reception Team for further info.

Is there Electric Vehicle charging points?

No, not yet! But we're working on it!

The nearest points are at the Bishops Centre, Taplow a short 5 min drive away. 

 

 


 

 

Can I leave my vehicle overnight?

No. We cannot guarantee overnight parking. 

 

 

 


 

 

Where can I stay? 

Located between Windsor & Maidenhead, there are lots of options from 5 star Hotels to self catering Accommodation. Drop us a line and we'll offer some options to suit your style. 

 

 


 

 

Do you offer Open Water Swimming?

It goes without saying- Lots of rowing boats and swimmers don't go too well together! 

But there are a few places nearby that do, such as Bray Lake.

Do you have a Cafe on site?

Yes & No - During Sporting & Hospitality Events we offer a wide range of catering options from street food to fine dining and sometimes a cafe. But there isn't a permanent cafe open on site. 

 

 


 

 

Do I have to book Club Rowing & Canoe Sessions in advance?

Yes. We ask that the club's coach makes the booking with our Reception Team in advance of when you wish to train by calling 01753 832756 or by email at rowing@dorneylake.co.uk

Can I learn to row at Dorney Lake? I've not done it before!

Absolutely! Learn to row in a fun & inclusive environment with Dorney Boat Club. Open to all abilities with adaptive rowing sessions starting in 2023, Adult & Junior sessions run weekly throughout the year.
